About

Lisen Stromberg and Aimee Whetstine met at BlogHer ’12.

By fate or providence, depending on which one you ask, their worlds collided during the final moments of the “speed dating” introductions. The two writers quickly discovered their differences. They live in different parts of the country, have different beliefs, and hold different perspectives on divisive issues.

What they also discovered in that first, brief meeting was a mutual desire for civil discourse. A need to elevate the dialogue. Understand and be understood. Respect instead of attack. Hard to come by these days, especially online.

So they set out to create this uncommon forum and maybe, just maybe, find common ground.
